Quality Assurance Emden: EuroQ Branch and Headquarters
EuroQ Emden is located in the Emden West II industrial area, 3 minutes from the Frisia Industrial Park and the Volkswagen plant in Emden. The Emden Outer Harbor, one of Europe’s largest automotive transshipment ports, is just 4 minutes away. The site offers 500 square meters of service and logistics space for inspection, sorting, and rework tasks.
EuroQ has been operating in Emden for over 20 years; this is also where the EuroQ Group’s headquarters are located. EuroQ is an approved service provider for Volkswagen AG Emden and can be deployed for all suppliers at the plant. The team led by Operations Manager Manuel Kuper has since inspected over 40 million components and reworked nearly 3 million components for customers in the automotive industry and, increasingly, in other sectors.
In this context, our well-connected supplier representatives and residents also represent the interests of the suppliers at Volkswagen.
Quality Control and Rework in Emden
EuroQ Emden carries out quality control, sorting, and rework either directly at the customer’s site or in its own facility. EuroQ handles transportation to the plant using its own vehicles.
If necessary, EuroQ Emden sets up a goods filter (Warenfilter): incoming and outgoing inspections are performed in a single pass before the goods are forwarded to the plant. All inspection results are digitally recorded via the EuroQ app and can be viewed in real time as reports and Pareto analyses.

Ramp-up Support in Emden
The launch of a new vehicle model is the most critical phase in the supply chain. Quality issues that are not addressed during this phase carry over into series production, where they result in costs many times higher than the original correction costs. EuroQ Emden is directly on-site during this phase: at the Volkswagen plant, at suppliers’ facilities, or at external locations.
The team performs component inspections and sorting tasks in parallel with ongoing ramp-up production, reworks defective but reworkable parts directly on-site, and sets up goods filters (Warenfilter) for critical components. All inspection results are digitally recorded via the EuroQ app and can be viewed in real time.
- Component inspections and sorting in parallel with production
- Rework of parts that do not fully meet specifications
- Quality filters for critical parts and assemblies
- Support with initial sample inspections and approval processes
- On-site supplier support at the plant
- Documentation and reporting for OEM escalations
How quickly can EuroQ Emden be deployed?
The Volkswagen plant in Emden and the Frisia Industrial Park are just 4 minutes away. This ensures operations can begin as quickly as possible:
- Submit a request via the hotline or through Contact
- Response from the sales team or the on-site team. Quickest possible quotation, depending on the project data provided.
- Approval and deployment (in the production hall, directly at the customer’s site, or at external locations).
Short-Term Containment Measures in Emden
In the event of an acute quality issue, EuroQ Emden implements short-term containment measures: processing of quarantined stock, 100% inspection, and sorting of suspect parts in its own production hall or directly at the customer’s site.
Typical Scenarios
- The supplier has reported a quality issue; goods must be immediately quarantined and inspected
- Complaint from the OEM or Tier-1 supplier; traceability and sorting of current inventory
- Production line shutdown is imminent; inspection must take place alongside ongoing production
- Goods filtering (Warenfilter) is necessary as a temporary solution until a permanent corrective measure is implemented
Electric Mobility, HV, and ODIS Flashing in Emden
Since late 2024, the Volkswagen plant in Emden has been producing exclusively electric vehicles: the ID.4, ID.7, and ID.7 Tourer. In 2025, the plant manufactured approximately 147,000 vehicles. EuroQ Emden is tailored to this environment.
The EuroQ team holds HV 1, HV 2, and HV 3 high-voltage certifications. HV 3 specialists can de-energize electric vehicles and, if necessary, work on live circuits. In addition, the team holds ODIS certification with its own hardware for software updates on finished vehicles and control units that have not yet been installed.

Quality Assurance Emden: Industry-Agnostic
Component testing, sorting, incoming and outgoing goods inspection, repackaging, and relabeling:
These services are industry-agnostic. Whether components are used in vehicles, e-bikes, wind turbines, or logistics processes makes no fundamental difference to the testing methodology.
EuroQ conducts testing in accordance with the quality standards of the automotive industry, one of the most demanding sectors of all. We test components according to VDA standards, IATF 16949, and OEM specifications, if necessary, we adapt our standards to other specific industry requirements.
In the logistics sector, EuroQ has carried out numerous projects, including in the battery sector. The Frisia Industrial Park, which is specifically opening up to new industries beyond traditional automotive supply, is located just 3 minutes away. Logistics, port operations, and the energy sector are the growing segments in the region.

The team assists with root cause analysis and documentation for 8D reports. All inspection results are recorded in real time via the EuroQ app and are immediately available for complaint documentation.
